The Ashmolean

The Ashmolean is the University of Oxford’s museum of art and archaeology, founded in 1683. Our world famous collections range from Egyptian mummies to contemporary art, telling human stories across cultures and across time.

The Bodleian

The Bodleian Library is the main research library of the University of Oxford, and is one of the oldest libraries in Europe. It derives its name from its founder, Sir Thomas Bodley. The Bodleian Library is open to visitors daily. It is the second-largest library in Britain after the British Library.

Museum of Natural History

Discover Earth, science, and nature… Oxford University Museum of Natural History holds an internationally-significant collection of natural history specimens and archives in a stunning example. Founded in 1860 as the centre for scientific study at the University of Oxford.

Pitt Rivers Museum

The Pitt Rivers Museum displays the archaeological and anthropological collections of the University of Oxford in England. The museum is located to the east of the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, and can only be accessed through that building.

Botanic Gardens

Every Thursday, from 12 May until 14 July, you can join our free guided tours at 11.30am and 2.30pm. These cannot be pre-booked, please register at the Welcome Centre when you arrive at the Garden.
